Facebook finally adds a dislike button… sort of

Now you can show your friends how much you hate their Facebook posts

If you’ve ever been on Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook page, you might have noticed the number one question he gets asked is: “When will you make a dislike button?”

The Facebook founder has always ignored or rebutted the question – however, the social network has always had the problem of what users should do if they don’t like posts.

Facebook reactions

Say someone’s posting about their dead hamster – “like” doesn’t seem like the most appropriate reaction.

Now there appears to be a solution in the form of Facebook Reactions, which allows users to express five new sentiments alongside the traditional “like”.

They’re easy to use – just hold down/hover over the like button and five emojis will appear, allowing you to express “like”, “love”, “haha”, “wow”, “sad” and “angry”.

As people react to it, the post will show the top three reactions.

Test it now by “wow”ing or “love”ing this article on Facebook ;)
