Dyson is developing an electric car in Wiltshire, but how many cars are MADE IN BRITAIN?

Watch out Apple!

Forget Tesla and Apple, Dyson is set to develop electric car from its HQ in Wiltshire.

The company is using £174m of government funding to produce the vehicle.

According to the Guardian, the government accidentally published documents yesterday which confirmed Dyson’s plans to enter the electric vehicle market.

The plans published by the National Infrastructure Delivery Plan read: “The government is funding Dyson to develop a new battery electric vehicle at their headquarters in Malmesbury, Wiltshire. This will secure £174m of investment in the area, creating over 500 jobs, mostly in engineering.”

Earlier this week, Dyson announced its plans to invest £1bn in battery technology after it reported a 20% rise in profit.

Max Conze, Dyson’s chief executive, said: “2015 was a year of exceptional growth across Asia and Europe, which proves that people across the world want better technology. 2016 is gearing up to be a transformational one as we launch more exciting and more intelligent proprietary technology.”
