*Gulp* - This London council home is on the market for £3m

Council homes worth a whopping £3m? Only in London.

Two council homes in Southwark (21 and 23 Park Street, Borough) were bought by a property investor in 2013 who turned them into homes worth over £3m each.

The first one is now up on the market while the second one is expected to go on sale later this year.

The Georgian home built in 1830 now has a double reception room, eat-in kitchen opening onto a garden, a ground-floor dining room, and four bedrooms.

Domus Nova, marketers of the home, say this “brave and playful home oozes creativity and personality throughout”.

“Immersed in history, this imposing Georgian home will engage with every sense, combining striking colourful details and textures with well-balanced architectural references throughout. Park Street will make a rewarding and engaging home for a lifetime,” they said in a description of the home on their website.
