Max Clifford's PR firm expected to close

Max Clifford’s high profile PR firm is expected to close as the shamed PR guru is sentenced for a string of sex crimes.

Max Clifford Associates was set up more than 20 years ago and was the go-to place for celebrity clients and people wishing to sell their kiss-and-tell stories.

The 12 all-female staff at the firm were regularly seen attending Clifford’s trial, and are all now expected to lose their jobs.

According to Sky News, a staff member said: “We’ve been told not to say anything. There will be a statement, at some point after sentencing, that’s all I can say.”

Employee Ann Duffy, who broke down in tears as the verdicts were returned, told Sky News: “This is the biggest injustice and I’m very distraught.”

Clifford is due to be sentenced today and faces up to two years behind bars after being found guilty of eight sex offences.
