London fashion week's young stars: CC KUO

Hurrah London Fashion Week is back! To celebrate we’ve scouted around to meet some of London hottest young fashion designers and see what’s on offer

CC graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and her graduate collection was so highly acclaimed, it resulted in an editorial feature in Pop Magazine, styled by the legendary Katie Grand.

CC went on to hone her skills and knowledge with renowned ateliers including Alexander McQueen, Michiko Koshino, Preen, Shizue and Margret Howell. CC set up her own label CC KUO in 2010.

We’ve got a sneak peak at her latest collection and grabbed her for a few quick words.

What makes your collection different from everything else out there?

My own printed fabrics and that I firmly believe in using the best materials.

How do you plan to sell your clothes, and has anyone bought or invested in your collection?

At the moment we are selling online through sites such as

LOOKK, Then and Now, Not Just a Label and Lekzo Paris (soon to launch).

Where would you like to see yourself and your label in a year, and have you got a business plan to take you there?

I am looking to increase the stock list in Europe but also I am planning on conquering the Asian market.

Great! So who in the industry do you most admire and why?

Mcqueen, he is unique.

What does it mean to you to be based in London?

London means any possibility, designers can be as creative as they want.

And design they do. Let’s have a look at the collection:
