Steve Jobs declared “holy war” on Google in email

More email exchanges between Apple founder Steve Jobs and Google have emerged, as part of an ongoing court case between the iPhone maker and Samsung over alleged patent infringement.

In 2010, Apple was preparing to take its top 100 staff members to an annual retreat – the “primary reason” for this, according to Jobs, was a “holy war with Google”.

Apple is demanding $2bn in damages for what it claims is “massive” patent infringement. Samsung claims Apple launched an “attack on Android” – the operating system used on Samsung phones, which is made by Google.
