Schoolboy arrested over TalkTalk hack

15-year-old boy questioned about the high-profile hacking

Police have arrested a teenager in Northern Ireland over the massive cyber-attack on TalkTalk last week.

The Metropolitan Police Cyber Crime Unit worked with the Police Service of Northern Ireland to search a home in County Antrim last night.

Police said the boy was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Computer Misuse Act and TalkTalk confirmed the arrest was in connection with its attack.

Since last week, a number of groups have sought to claim responsibility for the attack, which has knocked more than a fifth off the value of TalkTalk.

CEO Dido Harding said yesterday that all companies should boost their cyber security procedures.
