Frank Gehry to design Facebook’s London offices

Ahead of Facebook’s move into new offices near Euston, the social network giant has hired top architect Frank Gehry to design the interiors.

Gehry, who is best known for his eye-catching Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the sparkling metal fish sculpture at the sea-front in Barcelona, is also designing Facebook’s California campus.

Facebook has signed a 10 year deal for three floors at 10 Brock Street, at Regent’s Place, which is also home to Twitter, Debenhams and Manchester City Football Club’s London base.

It’s also only a short walk to Google’s new HQ in King’s Cross.

Facebook’s European chief Nicola Mendelsohn said the 88,000 sq ft office will allow the firm to double the number of people it has working in London, which is currently 250.
