Sports Direct shareholders lash out at Mike Ashley bonus (again)

If at first you don’t succeed… just give it up, Mike Ashley.

Sports Direct shareholders have for the third time lashed out against plans to reward its founder with a bonus.

Billionaire Ashley, who founded Sports Direct in the 80s, would have been set to benefit from a share scheme, alongside 3,000 employees. However, shareholders said it wasn’t clear how many shares Ashley would get, and called for transparency.

This is the third attempt by Sports Direct to award Ashley a bonus. The previous two attempts failed after shareholders opposed them.
