Boris gets behind “most fashionable” postcode competition ahead of men’s fashion week

Boris Johnson is lending his support to a contest to find London’s most fashionable postcode.

The competition has been launched as part of a campaign that aims to highlight Britain’s booming menswear industry.

Londoners have been invited to nominate their area for the “most fashionable” title, ahead of men’s fashion week, or “London collections: men”, to give it its official title.

Entrants will have the chance to win a made-to-measure three-piece suit by E. Tautz, a pair of luxury shoes by Mr Hare and also a tartan dog designed by Christopher Raeburn.

Runners up will win tickets to the Hello my Name’s Paul Smith exhibition at the Design Museum.

Johnson said: “As the birthplace of the three-piece suit and the bowler hat, London has an unrivalled fashion heritage. Our goal is to ensure that it remains ahead of the world fashion pack, and to support a sector that creates thousands of jobs and generates £10 billion each year.”
