Council tax freezes for most Londoners – check out what your borough is doing

Two-dozen London boroughs are freezing council tax, two are cutting it and one is giving money back (!), according to research from the BBC’s Sunday Politics. Where does your borough fit in?

24 boroughs are freezing council tax:

·         Camden

·         Greenwich

·         Hackney

·         Islington

·         Lambeth

·         Southwark

·         Tower Hamlets

·         Westminster

·         Barking and Dagenham

·         Bexley

·         Brent

·         Ealing

·         Enfield

·         Haringey

·         Harrow

·         Havering

·         Hillingdon

·         Kingston upon Thames

·         Merton

·         Newham

·         Redbridge

·         Richmond upon Thames

·         Sutton

·         Waltham Forest

 

Two are cutting:

·         Barnet by 1%

·         Hammersmith and Fulham by 3%

 

One is doing something else:

·         Kensington and Chelsea council is freezing council tax and giving residents a one-off £100 rebate, after beating its efficiency targets

 

And six are undecided:

·         Bromley

·         the City of London

·         Croydon

·         Hounslow

·         Lewisham

·         Wandsworth
