“Hour long” delays hit commuters at London Bridge for third day

Rush hour delays and diversions after signalling problems cause chaos

Commuters at London Bridge train station have had a miserable few months, and despite closures over Christmas and £150m of improvement work, there are still plenty of problems.

Today commuters were left aghast by signal failures which saw trains diverted to Victoria, and reported delays of up to an hour.

Network Rail said they thought they had fixed a signalling problem last night, only for it to re-occur at 5.30am this morning. Delays are expected to continue until midday today.

The catalogue of errors follows the latest hike in rail fares, which in some cases means that in the UK commuters pay six times what those who live on mainland Europe pay.

It’s not good and people don’t like it.
