The world’s most famous tennis tournament starts today with fans from all over the world flocking to Wimbledon to catch the action.

While tennis players aren’t the best paid sportspeople (that accolade is reserved for boxers and footballers) they can earn a hefty sum in prize money and sponsorship deals.

In fact, nine of the ten highest earning tennis players made more from sponsorship than they did from playing tennis – only Serena Williams matched prize money with sponsors’ cash.

But which tennis stars earned the most last year, according to Forbes? You can probably guess some of them.
