London’s 25p store has already closed. Here’s why

Sir Stelios’s project grinds to a halt

The discount food store which opened in Park Royal earlier this week has been forced to close because it has completely sold out of food.

easyFoodstore, the brainchild of easyJet founder Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, sold of out supplies in less than two days.

People travelled from all over London to get their hands on a range of products which all have a 25p price tag until the end of February.

An easyFoodstore spokesperson said yesterady: “The level of interest has been completely overwhelming. The last people through the door today had travelled up from Canterbury.

“We anticipated we had enough stock to last a couple of weeks but it has just gone in a day and a half.”

easyFoodstore said it is restocking shelves and will open again tomorrow (Friday).
