Amazing £99 exporting trips to European countries, usually £2,000

Frankly, this is one of the best business offers we’ve ever seen – and we’re not just saying that because it’s from one of our partners. We’ve been saying for ages you’d be mad not to consider exporting. Now for an incredibly wallet-friendly £99 + VAT, you can fly out to a new market and join other companies in a range of export-encouraging activities organised by UK Trade & Investment. These trips would usually cost £2,000!

UKTI, the government department responsible for getting more UK businesses to trade internationally, is offering the Export Insight Visits to Turkey (27-29 November), France, Germany, Spain, Italy (January 2013), Belgium, Czech Republic and Denmark (February 2013), France (January 2013), Poland, Spain and Republic of Ireland (March 2013). Sectors included are electronics and telecom, machinery, automotive, infrastructure, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, ICT and defence and security.

It’s all part of UKTI’s Export Week, which runs next week and is chock-full of useful exporting events, and its aim to get 100,000 businesses exporting by 2020.

Regional director of UKTI London, Parveen Thornhill, said: “UKTI support services are already helping many firms across the capital to export their products and services. But there is so much more potential and this week is the ideal opportunity for companies to find out more about how exporting can help their business grow.

“It’s about being prepared, investing resources in doing your research and being focused on getting results.”

Almost half of all London companies have ambitions to export, according to the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. If you’re among them – and we won’t bang on again about why you should be, though do check out our exporting advice – these trips promise to be a hugely practical and super-cheap chance to explore a new market, make essential connections, and start exploiting growth opportunities overseas. Why wouldn’t you?
