Have you got the UK’s rarest coin in your pocket? If so, it’s worth £150

Thousands of people in the UK are likely to have a rare 50p coin in their pocket, which is worth a phenominal £150 on eBay.

The 50p piece, featuring Kew Gardens, is the rarest ever commemorative coin and only one in 300 people is expected to have one – around 0.32% of the population.

Only 210,000 of the coins were ever made, which feature a design showing the famous pagoda of the Royal Botanic Gardens encircled by a vine and accompanied by the dates “1759” and “2009”, with the word “KEW” at the base of the pagoda.

If you find one and can’t be bothered with the hassle of selling it on eBay, bring it down to LondonlovesBusiness.com’s office and we’ll give you a quid for it.
