Tech goliath Apple, with its $774bn valuation, is only the 12th largest company in the world.

The companies on Forbes’ Global 2000 companies list account for combined revenues of $39 trillion, profits of $3 trillion, with assets worth $162 trillion, and a market value of $48 trillion.

The biggest company in the world is the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. It boasts $3.3 trillion in assets, a market value of $4278.3bn, sales of $166.8bn and profits of $44.8bn. In fact, China pretty much rules this list taking up the top four spots.
