These are the 10 easiest countries to do business in

The UK has just been named the sixth easiest country to do business in.

According to World Bank Group’s annual Doing Business report, the UK has moved up two places since last year.

This year, the UK beat the US, which is in seventh place.

The research named Singapore as the easiest country to do business in. To aim for the top spot, the UK needs to cut redtape and make business procedures easier.

The UK is the 17th easiest country to start a business in, up from the 45th spot last year, according to the report.

The report also found that it takes 4.5 days to start a business in the UK, compared to six last year.

Business secretary Sajid Javid said: “The UK has once again climbed up the rankings and is one of the top places in the world to do business, getting closer to the Government’s target of reaching the top five. This is international recognition of the UK’s strong and stable business environment, competitiveness and entrepreneurial spirit. Our economy is now growing faster than any other G7 nation.”
