Jurassic World smashes box office records – here are the 10 highest-grossing openings of all time

Jurassic World, the latest instalment of the Jurassic Park series, broke box office records grossing $512m over the weekend.

It’s not only the highest-grossing opening weekend ever, but the first film to make more than $500m during this time.

It was released in 66 countries, making $204.6m in the US and $29.6m in the UK and Ireland.
