Heathrow criticises airport price controls

Heathrow Airport has criticised proposed new price controls on the annual fees it can charge airlines.

The airport’s chief executive Colin Matthews said that the move could restrict investment and have major consequences for passengers and airlines.

Cameron announces benefits overhaul

At the Conservative party conference, David Cameron outlined major overhauls within the benefits system, including bringing an end to job-seekers allowance and housing benefits for over a million people aged between 18 and 24.

Party officials said that young people should be either “earning or learning”.
